Rue ’66 is the only true French Yé-Yé & Pop band in the United States that takes the listeners back in time while performing music inspired by Serge Gainsbourg, France Gall, Jacques Dutronc, Françoise Hardy, Gillian Hills, Michel Polnareff, Johnny Halliday, and groups like The Zombies, Pussycat, The Searchers, and so many others. Rue '66 is a nine-piece band sure to delight and make you dance to the sound of French Sixties music.
French Oak is a wild around the edges band, melding French Gypsy Jazz & Chanson, New Orleans Jazz, Roma Traditionals & Global Folk. North Bay Native and vocalist, Stella Heath, leads this band of gypsies in their undeniably fun performances! Featuring French/American guitar player, Gabriel Pirard; Reed player, James Inciardi, on Tenor, Baritone and Soprano Sax; Skyler Stover on Standup Bass; and Jamie Foster on Drums and Percussion. With their French-inspired global panoply of sounds spotlighting Heath’s magnetic vocals and the band’s tight rhythms they will transport you to lands unknown!

French Quarter Tours
For the past 40 years, San Francisco City Guides, leads free historical walking tours throughout San Francisco and it's neighborhoods. There are over 70 scheduled tours offered each week that are led by 300 different trained volunteer guides. For the Bastille Day Festival, our partners at San Francisco City Guides, are offering amazing tours of the San Francisco French Quarter. These tours will take place on Saturday, July 17th.
Petanque Tournament
Pétanque is a French game similar to lawn bowling or bocce ball. It is a form of boules where the goal is to toss or roll hollow steel balls as close as possible to a small wooden ball called a "cochonnet" or "jack", while standing inside a circle with both feet on the ground. Join us from 11 am to 4 pm to learn the game and partake in tournaments organized by the SF Club. This event is fully supported by Decathlon.
Vintage Car Show
Come check out some wonderful vintage Citroëns cars, chat with their owners, and prepare to be amazed! The San Francisco Region CITROËN Car club (SFRCC) has about 100 active members, a newsletter, and organizes at least one wonderful event in every month of the year!
Waiters Race
A Waiters' Race, or "course de serveuses et GARÇONS de CAFÉ", is a race that tests the speed at which a waiter can carry a loaded tray without tipping any of its contents. This race has been going on in France since the 1930's. The first of its kind in San Francisco and sponsored by Decathlon, the race will start at 3:00 pm. It is a fun community event, with a competitive edge.
